Alyssa Milano revealed through her Instagram account that she is dealing with hair loss after testing positive for COVID-19 last April and said it is "long hauler", a term used for people who have persistent symptoms to illness for several months.

It was in March that the "Charmed" actress began experiencing symptoms of the virus, such as fever and headache.

"I thought about showing you what COVID-19 does to your hair," he wrote on the social network next to a video in which he showed how his hair falls out. "Please take this seriously," he added.

In the recording that the famous 47-year-old shared, you can see how wet hair is detangled with a clean brush and it stays in the instrument.

"I just wanted to show you how much hair is coming out of my head as a result of COVID," Milano said in the clip. Holding a lock of her hair in front of the camera she added, "One brushing, this is my hair loss. Wear a damn mask."

The star revealed a week ago that he had contracted the virus and shared a photograph in which he is seen with an oxygen tank.

"This was me on April 2 after being sick for 2 weeks," she posted next to the image. “I have never been so sick. Everything hurt. I lost my sense of smell, "he wrote." I felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. I couldn't breathe. She couldn't keep food down. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks, "he added.

"I basically had all the symptoms of COVID," Milano continued, adding that although she had tested negative for the virus twice, she has since tested positive for antibodies.

"I am positive for COVID antibodies," she wrote. "I had coronavirus. I just want you to know that our testing system is flawed and we don't know the real numbers," he said.

The actress implored her followers to wear bottle covers, and to maintain social distance and continually wash their hands, because she does not want anyone else to experience the pain she had.

"I also want you to know that this disease is not a hoax," he mentioned. "I thought I was dying. I felt like I was dying, I don't want anyone to feel like me," he said.

In an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo, the actress said she was waiting for doctors' advice on what to do now that she's on the mend, noting that it's unclear what the next steps are.

"My question is, there is no guidance on what to do once someone recovers. I don't know if I should go have my heart, lungs checked. There are concerns about the vascular system," he said about the havoc that the disease in the body.

"There is no guidance because this is all very new," he said.
