(ANSA) - CAIRO, AUGUST 12 - Over half of Beirut's healthcare facilities are out of order following the catastrophic explosion last week, according to what was announced today by the World Health Organization (WHO). Subsequent testing of 55 clinics and health centers in the Lebanese capital "we know that just over 50 percent are out of use," said Richard Brennan, WHO director of regional emergencies, at a virtual press conference from Cairo.
Three major hospitals are out of service and a further three are operating below their capacity, he added. (HANDLE).
