(ANSA) - NEW YORK, AUG 12 - Farewell to Fox also in the logo of the TV studios purchased last year by Disney. After changing the name of the film studio at the beginning of the year, Mickey's House has done away with everything that still evoked the 20th Century Fox brand of Rupert Murdoch.
Involved in the new course, in addition to what is now called 20th Century Television, is also the independent film studio Fox Searchlight Production, henceforth simply Searchlight Productions.
In March 2019, Disney paid $ 71 billion for 20th Century Fox. The change of name, in addition to a distancing from the Murdoch group and a TV network with strong sympathy for President Donald Trump's party, aims to avoid misunderstandings with the public. Fox's assets such as Fox Entertainment, Fox Sports and Fox News remain, which have nothing to do with Disney.
20th Century Fox was created in 1935 from the merger of Twentieth Century Pictures and Fox Films. The film studios have produced some of the great classics of Hollywood history such as "Star Wars", "All Together Passionately" and "Mom I Missed the Plane", while TV audios came out, among other things, "The Simpsons" and "ModernFamily" .
