The 48-year-old already has four children, sons Matteo, Valentino and Renn and daughter Lucia. So Martin didn't get bored during the corona pandemic. According to the magazine, the singer spent the lockdown with the children, husband Jwan Yosef, an assistant and his mother in their own four walls in Beverly Hills on the US west coast.
Two babies, a stroller, a backpack - "that's a lot"
Fatherhood takes a lot of energy, and sometimes it reaches its limits. "I carry two babies at the same time, a stroller and a backpack - that's a lot," said Martin. Nevertheless, he did not want to rule out another increase. "Sometimes I want ten more". On some mornings, however, he also thinks: "Okay, maybe six of us are fine too."
He often dreamed of becoming a father, said Martin. "Very, very, very many times I've gone through this grieving process: I'm gay, I'm a covertly gay man and I'll never be able to become a father," the singer told the magazine. At the same time, he pointed out the difficulties of adoptions for other homosexual couples. "Adoption is a possibility and very nice, but unfortunately it is very difficult for gay men in many countries to adopt."
In 2008, a surrogate mother gave birth to Martin's first two sons, and Martin made his homosexuality public two years later. Their daughter Lucia was born in early 2019. He has been married to Yosef since 2017. Daughter Lucia was born in early 2019, the youngest son Renn followed in the same year.
