Monica Miguel , Mexican actress and stage director, died at 81 years of age. The news was released early this Wednesday by the Nayarita Organization to Develop Art (ONDA Nayarit), from the state from which it was originally.

Monica Miguel was born on March 13, 1939 in the city of Tepic, in Nayarit. She started in the theater in the 70s, after having spent almost a decade studying in Italy, and in the following decade she entered the world of television, first as an actress in soap operas such as "Amalia Batista", "Abandonada" and "Yesenia" .

As a director she worked on "Quinceañera", "Nobody's Love", "The Poor Relatives", "María Isabel", "The Privilege of Love" and more.
