Union and employer leaders were invited by the Ministry of Labor " to a consultation meeting " on Friday as part of the work to update the deconfinement protocol, in particular on the wearing of masks in companies, according to the invitation of which l 'AFP obtained a copy on Thursday. This meeting, confirmed by the ministry, will be held with the cabinet of Minister Élisabeth Borne, representatives of the General Directorate of Labor and those of the General Directorate of Health.

She will prepare another meeting, scheduled for August 18, which will be attended by Élisabeth Borne, Minister of Health Olivier Véran and Secretary of State for Pensions, Laurent Pietraszewski. This will be an opportunity to " collect " the " observations of managers relating to the health context in companies and to hear their proposals on the adaptations to be made to the protocol in companies ".
In recent days, calls from specialists have multiplied to make the wearing of masks compulsory in companies, where outbreaks of Covid-19 contamination have been detected. Doctors call for updating the deconfinement protocol established by the Ministry of Labor, which requires wearing a mask only when the distance of one meter is not respected. The employee must also wear a mask when he comes into contact within one meter of a social group freely made up of people who do not wear a mask.

The Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, assured Wednesday on France 2 that " the question of the company is a fundamental question which is the subject of discussions " between Élisabeth Borne, the employers' unions and the employee unions.
