Photo: Daniel Karmann / dpaA girl was bitten by an adder in Bavaria. This was announced by the Bavarian Red Cross.
Accordingly, the eleven-year-old raised a root on the Reiter Alpe near Bad Reichenhall to check on the animal. The 20 to 30 centimeter long snake then bit her index finger. A boy had previously discovered the adder and wanted to show it to the girl.
According to the information, helpers were flown to the child in a rescue helicopter and given emergency medical care. The eleven-year-old's severely swollen hand had been splinted. She was then flown to a hospital where she was supposed to stay one night.
