Shroud is officially returning to Twitch after joining Mixer. After almost a year on Mixer, he comments on his return with “I'm coming home”.

  • Shroud last streamed on Twitch * on October 22, 2019 , for an average of 24,000 viewers.
  • After Ninja , Shroud was the second largest streamer * to announce his move from Twitch to Mixer .
  • The streamer is now making his return to Twitch with the words "I'm coming home" officially.

California, USA  - It is reminiscent of the story with the prodigal son, because in October 2019 the then Twitch streamer Shroud switched to the Microsoft * service Mixer . After leaving the streaming platform Mixer , Michael Grzesiek , as Shroud's real name is called, is now back on Twitch . After almost a year, the Warzone streamer is back, fans and platform are happy.

Shroud is happy to be back home

The former Twitch streamer , who also streamed Warzone , explains his return in a statement: “ Twitch is the place where I turned my passion for streaming into a successful career - all thanks to my incredible and loyal fan base . ”Despite a million dollar deal, he shows remorse and says,“ As I looked for opportunities, I realized there was no better place than Twitch to connect with the best, most loyal gaming community in the world. I'm also looking forward to starting my channel with a new look and logo that I know my fans will love. I'm back baby "(Everything about streaming *)

So Twitch has one of the biggest Warzone streamers back in years. Twitch seems to be very lucky about that. So the bosses of the platform are happy and at the same time confirm to the comeback that Shroud has now received an exclusive deal .

"Our mission is to bring people together every day and we look forward to seeing the FPS legend in action again, exclusively on Twitch"

Michael Aragon

Shroud: So he switched to Mixer and left

Shroud seemed to regret his move to Mixer early on, as his audience numbers dropped enormously. His previous audience record on Twitch was just over 200,000 simultaneous viewers . On its new platform Mixer , the Warzone streamer couldn't even begin to match these numbers after switching. In the first month on Mixer , he lost around 67% of his viewers .

The reason for the change was still the same as with streaming colleague Ninja : the money. Because despite the closure of Microsoft's Mixer * service, Shroud is estimated to have received around 10 million US dollars. However, these figures are not confirmed.

But although Shroud signed a contract with Mixer stating that the California- born entertainer has to stream exclusively via Mixer , the Warzone streamer is now active again on Twitch . This is because the Mixer platform had to shut down some time ago because Microsoft's project was not worth it. And so the contracts of the biggest streamers like Shroud and Ninja were automatically terminated.

As early as June 2020, there was a rumor that Ninja and Shroud should stream on Facebook in the future . However, this rumor seems to have been dashed and so the two prodigal sons Ninja and Shroud return home to Twitch. * ingame.de is part of the Ippen-Digital network
