"The Rain" on Netflix: Will a 4th season come out?

Since August 2020, Netflix has made new episodes of the end-of-time series "The Rain" available. But is it over after that? So it is a possible 4th season.

"The Rain" deals with a topic that could remind many of the current Corona crisis: A virus keeps mankind on their toes and kills countless people who come into contact with the water. The two siblings Simone are among the few survivors and Rasmus , who live in a bunker for years waiting for their father. Since he is not returning, they go outside to look for him. On the way they join a larger group traveling from Denmark to Sweden .

In 2018 the series started with a total of eight episodes. The 2nd and 3rd season, however, only consist of six episodes each .

"The Rain": Is Netflix still showing a 4th season of the series?

In the case of "The Rain" it has been known since summer 2019 how things stand for a 4th season: The 3rd season represents the grand finale of the end-of-time drama, so no further episodes will be produced. Since Netflix did not suddenly cancel the series, it got a round ending that should leave no questions unanswered.
