Femur surgery, at the top one hospital in Veneto and two in Puglia

A podium in which Puglia prevails for the excellence of femoral neck fracture surgery. With respectively 96.98% and 96.35% of interventions performed within two days, the orthopedics of the Perrino hospitals in Brindisi and Di Venere in Bari rank among the best three hospitals in Italy. Only the structure of San Donà di Piave does better (97.12%). The figure emerges from the PNE report of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Age.Na.S.): this is a study that Agenas carries out on behalf of the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Regions, on the services provided by the structures public and private hospitals.


In the 2019 edition, just published, the performances (on 2018 data) of over 640 Italian healthcare facilities are analyzed. The Perrino with 195 operations, and the Di Venere with the 147 femur operations performed, are among the first companies in the sector. "To achieve these objectives - explains Enzo Caiaffa, director of the Orthopedics and Traumatology unit of Di Venere - the involvement of the whole hospital is needed: this is why Agenas is so attentive to the parameter of hip surgery.
