Julio Iglesias was on the beaches of the Dominican Republic, but the photos that the paparazzi took of him raised alarms for his health.

Julio Iglesias was on the beaches of the Dominican Republic, but the photos that the paparazzi took of him raised alarms for his health.

It was in the program "Sálvame", of the Spanish television channel Telecinco, where the journalist Núria Marín showed a clip of the 76-year-old singer, during his trip to the Caribbean country.

"You are going to see the images that show that, even for him, time also passes," said the presenter before watching the video.

"It is very difficult for Julio Iglesias to walk and he needs the help of two young people in bikini to be able to move around", you can read in the note published in the European media.

While the images were broadcast on the program, where Iglesias is seen in a black swimsuit, walking on the sand, the presenters were surprised by the singer's "physical deterioration". "They have told me that it is fatal," said journalist Lydia Lozano.

In the report presented by the variety program, they talk about the current thinness of Julio Iglesias and it is said that he looks "deteriorated." Similarly, it is noted that in order to move he had to hold onto the jetty because he cannot "stand up".

Some of the collaborators in the television space commented on their theories about what is happening with the artist, recalling the serious accident he suffered in 1962, when even the doctors told him that he would not walk again.

"He has always suffered from back pain as a result of the accident he had," Lozano said.

On the other hand, the presenter Antonio Montero stressed that Enrique Iglesias' father is going through a bad time and refuses to accept the passage of time. "He is very broken physically, he has always been very flirtatious and does not accept to look like that," said the collaborator, adding that there are certain rumors that say that Julio suffered "almost a depression."

In December 2019, Iglesias gave a concert in Duluth, Georgia, at the Infinite Energy Center, and from the photos that were taken of the show, the Spanish-speaking star appeared to be fine physically.

Last July, through his official Instagram account, Julio Iglesias recalled that 52 years ago, his life changed "forever and for the better", and all thanks to his fans.

"I needed to share a song that represented what I was thinking these days: my children," the Madrilenian began in his post , along with a video in which "And even if it makes you hot", one of his greatest hits.

As he wrote, what came to his mind was "a beautiful story written by José María Cano", whom he called "genius."

What is currently known with certainty about Julio Iglesias is that the singer had to cancel his tour scheduled for summer 2020, due to "the restrictions imposed by the authorities due to the situation caused by Covid-19."

And although the new dates for him to return to the stage are not yet known, the artist's team assures that he is working on planning what will come in the future.
