(In the video: Michelle Obama's last speech as the first lady of the United States)
Once a first lady - always a first lady. Whoever was a style influencer between 2008-2016, when she was a permanent resident of the White House, is doing it again. Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the United States, delivered a fiery speech at the virtual Democratic conference in which she spoke against incumbent President Donald Trump and for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. She claimed that "Trump is the wrong man for our country" and called on US citizens to go out and vote. But social media is only interested in one thing - where does its chain come from?

So where does the necklace come from? Michelle Obama in Speech at the Virtual Democratic Conference (Photo: GettyImages)Obama thought carefully about every item of her clothing before speaking at the Democratic convention. Her way of motivating viewers in a speech to action was through a small piece of jewelry she wore around her neck. To the brown silk shirt of the brand Nanushka she attached hoop earrings - and a gold chain with the letters that make up the word "voted" in English (VOTE). The small chain caught the attention of many of the viewers in the speech. When she finished, Google searches under the words: "Michelle Obama's chain" skyrocketed, and people turned to social media to try to gather information.
"If anyone has a link to purchase the necklace worn by Michelle Obama - please let me know. I can't find it anywhere," one surfer wrote. Another asked, "Where can I buy Michelle Obama's necklace now?"

After the flood of social media and an entire detective team that went out in search of the answer under the auspices of fashion journalists, bloggers and style enthusiasts - the solution to the mystery has been found. The gold necklace worn by Obama was custom designed for her by the ByChari brand, backed by black designer Chari Cotbert. This is a 14-carat gold necklace that Obama chose the letters for. "I never imagined that something I was so passionate about doing could be meaningful to so many other people," the designer wrote on Twitter. "The response to my necklace has been amazing. It's very flattering for me that Michelle Obama wore my design."
In case you also feel like conveying some important message through a gold chain, you should know that the brand also makes deliveries to Israel, so that logistically you are organized. The price, however, is a little less favorable. The price of a letter necklace, in a personal choice of course, starts at NIS 960 for small letters and starts at NIS 1,300 for a necklace with uppercase letters. If you fancy a necklace with diamonds inlaid with letters, then the price has already jumped and starts at NIS 2,900. The price of course depends on the number of letters you choose, so maybe it's better to stick to short messages.
