Bad Bunny will receive an important award that recognizes the Hispanic community

Bad Bunny was described as an artist who manages to break language barriers, becoming an international entertainment icon.


The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) announced that Bad Bunny will receive the prize in the "Vision" category during the annual awards ceremony, due to the impact he has managed to generate through his music and his activism.

"Bad Bunny understands his responsibility to serve as a powerful voice for those who need to be heard, as well as a source of inspiration for our youth," said José Antonio Tijerino , president of HHF.

"He radiates his Latino and Puerto Rican pride in everything he does from the stage to the community and the entire world," he added. 

The Puerto Rican singer will receive the award on October 6, during the broadcast on Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) stations.

This year's Hispanic Heritage Awards will air on PBS presented in a "unique documentary style," according to a press release, and will include profiles of the honorees and special performances filmed in intimate settings.

During the thirteenth edition of these awards, the contributions and achievements of Latino leaders in various fields will be recognized, while celebrating cultural pride and great promise for America.
