No one comes innocent there, not even the contestants, who send sexual innuendos • And none of them are looking for a husband | TV

For the 24th season of reality, no one comes innocent, neither the audience nor the contestants, who greet peacefully with sexual innuendos • And no, none of them are really looking for a husband

  • Who exploits whom? "The Bachelor"

Remember the era of innocence in reality shows? The one that brought to the screen a flood of formats with blown up names, and mostly sold on viewers and attendees illusions that someone was really going to win anything beyond 15 minutes of fame, a negligible campaign and lots of launch invitations.

Since then the world has sobered up, and so have the reality shows - and especially the participants in them. Everyone understood the game and their role in it. Whoever does not, finds himself out very quickly, or worse, a tool in the hands of the production that uses it for its own needs and throws it away when it is convenient for it.

The 24th season of "The Bachelor" does not sell anyone the illusions of true love. I mean she is, because that's what the format is based on, but none of the participants really think she's going out with a husband. They first of all need enough to stand out and differentiate themselves to gain screen time, which, as everyone knows, is more important than quality time with the intended. Whoever makes noise and draws fire to it - will get more focus.

"The Bachelor" is a chauvinistic format that should have disappeared from the screen a long time ago, and it's amazing that it's still airing: basically one bachelor who looks good and flirts between pretty contestants who compete for his heart, on the way they perform tasks and go on dates with him. Over the years, as this reality went on, what was happening on screen became more blatant: between the bachelor and them, a relationship (including an intimate relationship) was formed and hugs that were all filmed. This of course makes each contestant try to go further than the previous one, while in the production more champagne is opened and more commercials are sold. And yes, there is also a female version of this format, but it manages to be less offensive. The only question is - who is exploiting whom here?

"Answer me honestly, what girl are you looking for?" Chris the presenter in the opening episode asks Peter Weber "The Bachelor," which came in third in the 15th season of "The Bachelorette," the corresponding female format. "I'm looking for someone I can call my best friend," replies the experienced Peter, who understands well what the audience wants to hear.

Weber is a pilot, so in the initial encounter with the women they try to impress him with an original entrance with elements from his world. One arrived in a paper plane, one on a plane with wheels and one went too far and arrived in a closed suitcase and reminded me of Yaeli from "Givat Halfon does not answer". Where's Sergio Constanza when you need him?

The women's brief encounter with Weber is tacky and full of kitsch. A lot of clichés are thrown into the air and the oxygen seems to be dwindling from moment to moment, and what is left for him to say is that he is excited. But not all women are like that, there are also bolder ones, who really want him to remember them already in the first meeting, and they throw him sexual innuendos that are hard to miss - because it is known that the path to a man's heart goes through his underwear. The thing is, it's going through like it's really cute and a spin to broadcast it. In the reverse version, a #METOO alert would appear on the entire screen, and the segment would be disqualified for broadcast.

• Because of the corona: this is what happened to the Festigal

The “bachelorette” way of staying relevant over the years has made her more blunt and daring, with a load of clichés unrelated to romance or choosing a partner. If this is what you want to see - you deserve it.
