A minister in office who lends herself to the game of a shopping competition for television is rather incongruous. Except that the shooting of the numbers of “Queens of shopping” broadcast on M 6 this week at 5:25 pm took place before the health crisis, the confinement and the appointment of Roselyne Bachelot to the Ministry of Culture. She was then participating as a former minister and television host.
Because for the first time since its creation in 2013, “Les Reines du shopping”, a program presented by Cristina Cordula, sees celebrities competing: columnist Hapsatou Sy, singer Julie Zenatti, host specializing in decoration Emmanuelle Rivassoux ( sidekick of Stéphane Plaza in “Maison à vendre”), the presenter of the “Meilleur Pâtissier” Julia Vignali, and Roselyne Bachelot.
Queen for a good cause
Each of them participates in the program with the aim of being designated "shopping queen" and thus win 10,000 euros for the benefit of an association. The principle: each daily issue is devoted to a personality, who has 2h30 and 450 euros to buy a complete outfit (clothes, shoes, bag, jewelry) in compulsory shops. Each candidate then parades in front of the other competitors who give her a score out of 20.

In the Friday issue, once the last candidate has paraded, the host will rate the five women herself, this rating counting for half of the final score!
This type of show where female competition is in the spotlight can often give rise to easy or petty criticism. The choice of the five celebrities on the contrary gives it a good-natured dimension, even if each one wants to fight for its association: the APIPD which fights against sickle cell anemia for Hapsatou Sy, the association Grégory Lemarchal against cystic fibrosis for Julie Zenatti, Sauve ton bourbon et Cie which rescues dogs and cats on Reunion Island for Emmanuelle Rivassoux, Music'O Seniors which organizes opera concerts in establishments for the elderly or those suffering from Alzheimer's disease for Roselyne Bachelot, and Marion la Main outstretched against school bullying and cyberstalking for Julia Vignali.

Of all, Hapsatou Sy, the first to shop this Monday, seems to be the most competitive. On the comments side, Roselyne Bachelot (who will do her shopping on Thursday) is undoubtedly the most cash. Faced with the fitting of a red sweatshirt of her former comrade of the "Big 8", the minister lets go: "There, I think she has chances of being hired by a motorway company to indicate that 'there are works. It's horrible. And to treat others when she herself walks into a shop asking the saleswoman to help her find "a toilet".
Between pink outfit and electric blue shoes, the Minister of Culture is stepping up daring attempts. But what will her final outfit look like? Answer Thursday. The bet for this celebrity special is largely won, with humor, suspense and surprising choices.
