(ANSA) - NAPLES, AUGUST 24 - The Campania Region has decided to purchase thermoscanners to be assigned to schools in order to ensure that the temperature is measured by pupils at the entrance of the same institutes. It will start with the upper secondary school. A check will then be made in 4/5 days to understand the progress of voluntary screening on school personnel. The regional health structures, reads a note, are preparing to cover any gaps to ensure that all staff arrive in the institutions after the necessary checks. The decision was taken during a meeting convened by the President of the Region, Vincenzo DeLuca, with the Crisis Unit and all the general managers of the ASL and the hospitals, in which the problems relating to the reopening of the schools were addressed. "As already communicated by the President, the national provision according to which temperature control is done at home is considered absurd and totally ineffective", reads a note. (HANDLE).
