(ANSA) - FLORENCE, AUGUST 24 - Molecular swab tests, free and on a voluntary basis, will be offered to travelers arriving and departing from Tuscany, resident or not in the region, from 8 am on Wednesday 26 August. The test campaign will start from the ports of Livorno and Piombino and, soon after, will be extended to the railway stations of Florence, Pisa, Arezzo, Viareggio and Grosseto. An order by the president of the Tuscany Region, Enrico Rossi, has been ordered, which will be signed tomorrow and which is anticipated in its contents tonight by the Region. Local health authorities will be responsible for setting up "drive-trough" or "walk-trough" reception stations in the ports and stations indicated. - People who undergo the test in ports and stations "must comply with the behaviors envisaged for fiduciary isolation at their home or residence, until the test is notified within the following 24-36 hours.
In case of negativity of the test, no restrictive measure will be adopted; in the event of a positive outcome, the person will be taken over by the prevention department of the local health authority for the quarantine and health surveillance procedure ". (ANSA).
