The sequel to the Netflix horror series won't take place at Hill House, but it will bring nightmares back to many fans. Season 2 will be based on a horror short story.
Netflix had a surprise hit last year with "Spuk in Hill House". The horror series about the family history of Crain excited and terrified series fans alike. It goes without saying that the streaming provider wants to build on the success and add a second season - and this should be even more scary.
"The Haunting of Bly Manor" is said to be even scarier than "Haunted Hill House"
At least that's what the inventor of the first season of "Haunted Hill House" Mike Flanagan claims. In an interview with the film website Cinema Blend, he full-bodied promises to deliver an even more terrifying season . The new episodes will no longer play in Hill House. The title of the new season is "The Haunting of Bly Manor" - in German: "Spuk in Bly Manor". The basis is the short story "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James.

As mentioned earlier, "The Haunting of Bly Manor" will be based on the novel "The Turn of the Screw" . It was first published in 1898 and is about a governess. Netflix has not yet announced a fixed start date for "The Haunting of Bly Manor" . The new season should be published on the streaming service in 2020. It is also not yet known who will play. So far it has only been confirmed that Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen will play. Both have also appeared in "Spuk in Hill House".
