(ANSA) - NEW YORK, AUGUST 24 - Donald Trump has conquered the Republican presidential nomination, reaching the threshold of 1,276 delegates needed to run on November 3 for the White House. The vote was the first act of the party convention launched in Charlotte, North Carolina. There 336 delegates voted on behalf of all Republican delegates unable to attend in person due to coronavirus restrictions.
Donald Trump was greeted with an ovation and the cry of 'fourmore years' (another 4 years) upon his arrival at the Charlotte Convention Center given to him by the 336 delegates of the public divider who officially confirmed him as a candidate for the White House. "It is the most important election in the history of our country," said the tycoon.
"We have to be very careful: in 2016 the Democrats spied our campaign, now they are trying to vote by correspondence". This is the alarm raised by Donald Trump when speaking at the Republican convention. (HANDLE).
