An arrest warrant has been issued against a 15-year-old in Kiel for attempted murder. The public prosecutor's office accuses the youth of pursuing a 78-year-old woman in the Mettenhof district and stabbing her in the back with a knife on the street. The judge had rated this as malicious - a feature of murder - said Chief Prosecutor Michael Bimler.
It was only at home on Monday lunchtime that the senior noticed the deep stab injury in the back. The woman was hospitalized for treatment for the non-life threatening injury. She was able to give the police detailed information about the perpetrator.
After an unsuccessful manhunt on Monday, the suspect was arrested on Tuesday in the street where the crime took place. Witnesses found a knife near the crime scene after a police call. The police check whether it is the weapon and whether the young person could be responsible for other crimes.
According to a report, the 15-year-old is now in custody in a correctional facility in Schleswig-Holstein. According to the public prosecutor's office and the police, he had repeatedly attracted attention for property and violent crimes.
