Available on September 17 on the streaming platform, the film follows the rapper during the recording of his album Black Belt and the months leading up to his concert at the Stade de France in 2019.

Who is behind the dark glasses? Many have wondered about Gims' best kept secret. Over time, this accessory intended to preserve a certain privacy has become iconic for man and artist. However, it seems unlikely that Gandhi Djuna, his real name, will appear "naked face" in the documentary dedicated to him by Netflix and which will be released on September 17th.

Entitled Gims , it will address the months preceding the enormous concert of the rapper at the Stade de France, which came to close, on September 28, his “Fuego Tour” in apotheosis. "A real intimate journey, from Paris to Marrakech, via the United States, to Kinshasa, his hometown" , promises the platform. Gims unveils the recording of its event album Black Belt as well as the preparation of its monumental tour“ The Fuego Tour ”” , she adds.

Few artists, especially French artists, have had the right to their own documentary produced by Netflix. He thus follows in the wake of Travis Scott and the film Look Mom, I Can Fly , which looked back on his childhood, the conception of a new album and the birth of his daughter.

At the end of 2019, Gims announced that he intended to put his career on hiatus for a while. He obviously does not manage to win since a few months ago, he announced the arrival of a “100% rap” mixtape for October. On the other hand, it seems that a return of La Sexion d'Assaut is finally on the verge of being realized, after seven years of absence.
