The San Luis State Prosecutor's Office is carrying out a complaint against administrative employees and health personnel of the Fortuna Hospital, in the southern province, for holding a clandestine party in the midst of social, preventive and mandatory isolation due to the coronavirus.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Health of San Luis, Silvia Sosa Araujo, who announced that they will apply "the pertinent administrative sanctions" , since the people who participated in the celebration depend on the province.
These are health personnel affected by the epidemiological surveillance of the coronavirus, who organized a bachelorette party a few days ago, at the home of a dentist in the town of Fortuna, 280 kilometers from the provincial capital.
"We are on the edge of the abyss," said the governor of San Luis, Alberto Rodríguez Saá, during the report of the local Crisis Committee on Wednesday, referring to the probability that the province will begin to register "community circulation of the virus."
The Crisis Committee's concern is due to the increase in cases in recent days. Last Friday a truck driver tested positive for coronavirus , after entering the province with a negative PCR, and infected at least six other people, including his wife, his daughter, his brother, an employee of his greengrocer and the brothers of the employee.
Governor Alberto Rodríguez Saá, alert for the increase in cases.
"We are going to determine traceability by doing epidemiological studies and we ask the population to maintain hygiene and distance; therefore, it is also requested that people who were in contact with the greengrocer, to call 107 and maintain isolation," said the reference provincial on coronavirus, Graciela Sarmiento.
The governor asked residents to "avoid entering the city" to prevent the virus from spreading to other locations.
