Coronavirus: infections drop: 1,444 dead. Record swabs

The swabs for the first time since the beginning of the epidemic are approaching one hundred thousand, but after three days of growth in infections there is a slight decline and there is only one victim in all of Italy. The data to keep an eye on is that of intensive care, whose patients increase for the second consecutive day, but on numbers that are currently very low. And so the attention is focused on the outbreaks scattered throughout the country, starting with Sardinia which went into crisis with the holidays and for which the Civil Protection is planning an exodus with the ships of the positives residing in other regions.

Even today, no region has zero new cases in the last 24 hours. Lombardy was again in the lead for positives with 289 (20% of the total), followed by Campania (13%) with 188, by Lazio with 171 (11%), Veneto at 151, Emilia Romagna at 149. Tuscany records 92, Piedmont 90, Sardinia 70, Puglia 65. The average of daily infections in Italy still remains among the lowest in Europe, while the infected increase much faster in other large countries. Undersecretary for Health Sandra Zampa announces "an open dialogue between Minister Speranza and the French government.
