Alexander Kristoff (UAE Emirates) won the first stage of the 107th edition of the Tour de France which started today from Nice two months late due to the coronavirus emergency and with strict anticovid measures.
The stage was conditioned by the rain, which fell for almost all 156 kilometers of the route with start and finish in Nice. Numerous falls, fortunately without consequences for the runners who, however, have decided to slow down in order not to risk. Tomorrow second stage again from Nice to Nice, this time 186 km.
Kristoff gives UAE Emirates the first yellow jersey of the Tour de France 2020. The Norwegian in the sprint beat the world champion Mads Pedersen, who precedes Bohl, Bennett and Sagan.
