In Taiwan, a three-year-old girl was pulled into the air by a large kite.
The child got caught in the long tail at a kite festival in Hsinchu on Sunday and was thrown back and forth at a height of several meters, as can be seen on videos on the Internet.
For a good half a minute, the girl was thrown through the air by strong gusts of wind, while viewers in vain stretched their arms to the child and several people tried to bring the kite back to earth.
When the wind subsided, onlookers got hold of the girl.

The child was treated at the hospital and suffered abrasions on his face and neck, Taiwan's CNA news agency reported.
The long tail of the orange kite had apparently wrapped around the neck of the 13-pound child and then pulled it up.
The Mayor of Hsinchu apologized for the accident and announced an investigation to prevent this from happening again.
