Although the regular flights have not yet returned as expected for September, this Tuesday the 1st the Free Shop or Duty Free reopened at the Ezeiza International Airport.

Specifically, it is the Duty Free which is located in the Departures sector, for those

passengers who are going on a trip

, not for those who return.

The one in the Arrivals sector remains closed for now.

The 2,700 square meter space reopened under strict sanitary protocols and only at the times in which the

special flights

that will depart from today

are scheduled

.

What flights?

Although there are no regular departures, there are special scheduled flights.

Tomorrow, Wednesday September 2, there are scheduled to be five flights to Miami, São Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Asunción and Madrid.

On September 3, there will be another five flights to Cyprus, Amsterdam, Beijing, São Paulo and Paris.

On Friday, September 4, another four special flights are scheduled to take place: two to Miami, one to Bolivia and another to Madrid.

The Duty Free company employs

780 people

in Argentina, many of them are those who work in the lounge located at the Ezeiza Airport, which is the largest it opened.

Among the protocols implemented, the first was to survey the expired merchandise that had to be thrown away, especially some chocolates, a classic of this type of store, because the space was closed since March 20.

How are the health protocols within Duty free

You cannot access the free shop area without a

chinstrap

, although of course if the passenger does not have a mask, it will be offered before entering.

In addition, there are several

gel alcohol

dispensers

to be placed at different times and respecting

social distance

is essential.

Each thing has a different protocol.

The customer can try on a pair of glasses or a watch without problems, but just before doing so, a salesperson will be in charge of disinfecting the product in front of him.

The passenger must circulate with a mask from the moment they arrive.

Those products that do not need to be tested on the body, such as

makeup

,

cream

or

perfume

, will be avoided and "blotters" or the famous

blotting papers

used to test

fragrances

or makeup colors

will be offered

.

The customer may touch a bottle with a perfume tester, but not before being disinfected in front of him by a Duty Free employee.

In the case of a garment, the client has the possibility to try on what they want and in the event that they do not want to take it, the garment goes directly to quarantine 48 hours before being exhibited again to the public.

There will be a

very high

cleaning frequency

in the changing rooms to ensure complete disinfection of the place.

Finally, in the cashier area, how to position yourself is indicated on the floor to maintain the required social distance and there are acrylic screens that separate the cashiers from the customers.
