Angelika Hartung and Robert Atzorn: The couple have two grown sons

They have been married for more than 40 years - and apparently still happily in love: In an interview, actor Robert Atzorn talked about what he values about his wife Angelika Hartung and how the couple survived difficult times together.
"My wife was and is the most important part for my whole life, for my personality development", said the 75-year-old of the magazine "Bunte".
It is obviously no coincidence that things are going so well for both of them.
Hartung said she was always sad when relationships broke down.
"Many couples give up too quickly."
Not so Atzorn and his wife: "We worked on our relationship with a wide variety of therapies," "she said - and told the magazine that both had also had" tough times. "The couple has been married since 1976 and has two adult sons.
The therapies seem to have helped them in the past.
"Our self-esteem, our self-confidence has grown, that has certainly taken away a lot of our fear from both of us," said Robert Atzorn.
His wife added: "I always wanted to have a happy and inspiring relationship - and I could see all of that in Robert."
Robert Atzorn was one of Germany's most popular actors for decades, and from 2001 to 2008 he was also the "Tatort" commissioner in Hamburg.
In 2017 Atzorn officially withdrew from the public.
On Friday, September 4th, his autobiography "Showering and brushing your teeth - What really matters in life" will be published.
Hartung also wrote chapters for the book.
