Facebook has exposed a network of fake accounts associated with Russian agents who have recruited some American journalists to spread fake news aimed at democratic users.
To be blacked out were 13 profiles and two Facebook pages that, in view of the presidential elections in November, were making disinformation about the racial protests underway in the USA, about the election campaign of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and about the policies of President Trump. Behind it was the Internet Research Agency, the St. Petersburg troll factory that interfered in the 2016 U.S. Presidential elections.
