Netflix is a top dog among streaming services, but Disney + is catching up.
Now the service has put the competitor in its pocket - with just one film.
Since Disney + launched in November 2019, the streaming service has been increasing the pace in order to compete alongside competitors such as Netflix or Amazon Prime.
Now one single film has outpaced all competitors.
Hamilton makes Disney + a winner
On July 3, 2020, the
musical film Hamilton was released on Disney +
.
This is a recording of the Broadway production of the musical of the same name.
According to data analysts, this recording had more viewers in a month than any other format of the competition, reports the magazine "Variety", citing exclusively collected data.
A full 37 percent of the audience group examined watched Hamilton in July.
This is followed by the Netflix titles "Unsolved Mysteries" and "The Old Guard" - trailing with 13.7 and 10.6 percent respectively.
The

includes a total of two Disney + titles, only one Amazon and one Hulu film each, and six Netflix titles:
