(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 03 - The countries still adhering to the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran, China, Russia, France, Great Britain and Germany, reiterated "the importance of preserving" this understanding as a "key element of architecture global non-proliferation "and stressed that the United States cannot initiate the process for the reintroduction of United Nations sanctions as they have exited this agreement since 2018. Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), held in Vienna.

In the declaration, the full text of which was released by the Iranian embassy in Rome, it is stated that "the full application of the agreement by all parties remains crucial".

As for the recent discussions at the United Nations Security Council regarding the US attempt to reintroduce sanctions against the Islamic Republic, it is emphasized that, since Washington unilaterally left the agreement on May 8, 2018 and has not participated since then in any related activity at the JCPOA, "cannot initiate the process to reintroduce UN sanctions on the basis of resolution 2231", which acknowledged the agreement.
