Activists used a drone to drop dozens of cannabis packages over the center of Tel Aviv - to the delight of passers-by, who, according to the Israeli media, picked up the one-gram packages.
The activists had campaigned for the legalization of the drug with their action, it said.
It was the "Green Drone" organization that set up a Telegram group in advance.
It said: "The time has come, my dear friends. Is it a bird? Or an airplane? No, it is the" green drone "that rains free cannabis from the sky ... Enjoy it, my dear brothers . It's your pilot brother who will make sure you get some love. "
Two men were arrested after the drug packages were dropped.
Cannabis use was decriminalized in Israel in 2017
