Steve Nash, twice (2005 and 2006) named best player in the NBA, 18 years in the league with Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers and 8 times chosen for the All Star Game, is the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets .
This was announced by the team's general manager, Sean Marks, who had had interviews with various candidates.
"In Steve we see a communicator and a leader who will quickly earn the respect of every player," explained Marks.
Nash, who is also part of the basketball Hall of Fame and a great friend of Alessandro Del Piero, will have Jacque Vaughn as his main assistant.

For the past few seasons, Nash has worked in a managerial and technical role for the national team of his country, Canada.
