(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 07 SEPT - The Belarusian Interior Ministry reports that 633 protesters were arrested yesterday by the riot police during the protests against Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Last night the same department spoke of over one hundred arrests. The ministry also claims that 31,000 people across the country demonstrated against Lukashenko's contested electoral victory in the presidential elections on 9 August, probably distorted by electoral fraud. But independent observers report more than 100,000 demonstrators in Minsk alone. (HANDLE).
