Coronavirus: infections are still falling, but few swabs. 12 dead

There are 12 deaths from Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to yesterday. The infected are still decreasing: they are 1,108 (yesterday 1,297), according to data from the Ministry of Health. However, swabs are in sharp decline: 52 were carried out. (ANSA)


(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 07 - There are 12 deaths from Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to yesterday.

Contagious are still falling: they are 1,108 (yesterday 1,297), according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Swabs, however, are in sharp decline: 52,553 were not carried out, almost 25,000 less than the previous day.

In total, the cases are now 278,784, the victims 35,553.

The currently positive increase by 915 to 32,993, the discharged and healed by 223 and are now 210,238.


   Another 9 coronavirus patients ended up in intensive care in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 142. 1,719 (+36) are now hospitalized with symptoms, while 31,132 (+870) people are in home isolation.

The only region without new positives is Valle d'Aosta, like the autonomous province of Bolzano, while the greatest increase in cases is recorded in Campania with 218. In second place Lazio with 159, then Emilia Romagna 132 and Lombardy with 109.
