Femicide of a 14-year-old girl in Moreno: they investigate a sexual attack

This Saturday night Ludmila went out with a friend.

They went together to a meeting with other young people, only six blocks from her house, but she never returned.

She was the victim of a femicide and they suspect that she was murdered between 6.30 and 11 on Sunday.

By the fact they are looking for a 19-year-old young man who rented the room where they found the body.

The property is located at 4038 Diario La Nación street, in Francisco Álvarez, Moreno district.

On Saturday night a young man named Cristian Jerez organized a meeting, despite bans to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

According to neighbors, this person did it "every weekend" regardless of the restrictions imposed by the isolation.

Ludmila and her friend Mayra went to this house on Saturday night.

They knew Jerez through her cousin.

About 10 people passed through the place during the night, but by dawn four remained: Ludmila, Mayra, Cristian and her cousin.

It was they who declared that Ludmila was left alone with Jerez, in addition to the testimony of the neighbors.

For investigators, there are indications that Ludmila tried to resist

a sexual assault

and that she was murdered inside that house.

Ivana Pretti, Ludmila's aunt, posted on social networks: "There are no words to express what she feels, she always watched TV when girls disappeared and today it is our turn to ask for justice for you, my only niece, the one loved by all To think what you have suffered in those moments, my heart breaks into a thousand pieces. At around 1 p.m. a demonstration began at the door of the Francisco Álvarez police station to demand justice for the femicide and the arrest of the fugitive.

The investigation was left to the Prosecutor's Office No. 4 of Moreno, in charge of Federico So Señora.

In the last ten years in Argentina there is an average of one femicide every 30 hours.

According to statistics from the Office of Domestic Violence of the Supreme Court, in 2018 alone there were 278. Most murders occur in the homes of the victims and are committed by partners or exes.
