The 29th edition of the Fiesta des Suds, which was to take place from October 8 to 10 at the foot of the Mucem in Marseille, was canceled due to constraints related to the health crisis, its organizers announced on Monday.

But since the passage of the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the red zone in mid-August, the health constraints had been tightened by the authorities.
To take place, the festival concerts would have had to accommodate only seated audiences.
A condition impossible to impose for the director of the event: “

During the Fiesta, people dance, mingle, talk, have fun ... a seated Fiesta does not correspond to our identity.

Artists like Woodkid, The Avener or Chinese Man were expected for this 29th edition, the first canceled since the creation of the festival.
