Jewish-British comedian Sasha Baron Cohen has taken advantage of the past few months to shoot a sequel to "Borat," according to Hollywood website Collider.

The exact plot details of the expected sequel are unclear at this stage, but it is estimated that in the current film Cohen will be required to wear new and varied costumes to interview his victims, because the previous film, released in 2006, made him famous.

In recent months, several videos have been circulated on the net in which Cohen is seen in action.

In one of these videos, Cohen took the stage at a far-right organization conference and began singing an invented country song in which he called for injecting "Chinese influence" into Hillary Clinton and members of the World Health Organization (the audience of course joins him in enthusiastic singing).

In another clip from recent weeks, Cohen was seen driving in a pickup truck across Los Angeles as he donned the famous costume and mustache of Borat, the fictional character of a TV reporter from Kazakhstan.

In early July, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said he almost fell victim to Cohen's prank when an unidentified man in a pink bikini suddenly burst into a room while giving an interview to another journalist.

The film "Borat" tracked down an antisemitic TV reporter from Kazakhstan who was sent to America to prepare color articles on US politics and culture. It received rave reviews, grossed $ 262 million worldwide and won the Golden Globe Award. "Bruno" (2009), "The Dictator" (2012) and "The Grimsby Brothers" (2016) - did not really manage to recreate the critical and box office achievement.

Two years ago, Cohen created the much-talked-about political satire program "Who's America?", In which he played various figures from the delusional fringes of the American right and left, including Eran Mored - a former Mossad agent and anti-terrorism expert.

Last year he played the spy Eli Cohen in the series "Eli", which aired on Netflix.

It is not yet clear whether "Borat 2" is set to be shown in cinemas or televised, and it is not yet clear when we will get to see it - although it is estimated that Cohen plans to release it this fall, ahead of the US election.
