The

Ministry of Health of the Nation

reported this Wednesday that in the last 24 hours, 254 deaths from coronavirus were reported and another 12,259 cases were identified. 

It is the second consecutive day with a

record of infections

, after 12,027 positives yesterday, when the barrier of half a million infected was exceeded.

In this Wednesday's report, all the provinces reported cases, with 6,266 from Buenos Aires leading the way.

The City, meanwhile, reported 1,264 positives.

Very close was Santa Fe, with 1,089.

In addition, Mendoza registered 798, Córdoba 577, Tucumán 390, Salta 361, Jujuy 343 and Río Negro 280. La Rioja (145), Santa Cruz (142), Chaco (140) and Entre Ríos were also located above one hundred cases. (130).

The remaining positives of the day were distributed among Santiago del Estero (81), Tierra del Fuego (69), Neuquén (69), Chubut (39), Corrientes (25), San Luis (21), La Pampa (20), San Juan (4), Catamarca (3), Misiones (2) and Formosa (1).

In the morning,

52 new deaths

had been confirmed

: 29 men (16 residents in the province of Buenos Aires, 3 in the City, 1 in Neuquén, 1 in Santa Cruz, 2 in Río Negro, 5 in Mendoza and 1 in Santa Fe ).

And 22 women: 12 residents in the province of Buenos Aires, 6 in the city of Buenos Aires and 4 residents in Mendoza.

A person who died in PBA was notified without sex data.

In the evening report

, 202 fatalities were added

(111 men and 91), of which 125 resided in the Province, 37 in the Federal Capital, eight in Córdoba and Salta, six in Jujuy and Santa Fe, two in Chaco, Entre Ríos, Río Negro and Mendoza, and one in La Rioja, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego and Neuquén.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Argentina has

accumulated 10,658 deaths,

with an average age of 72 years.

The fatality rate of the virus on confirmed cases remains at 2.1% and the specific mortality is 229 people per million inhabitants.

During the morning report, the Secretary for Access to Health,

Carla Vizzotti,

warned that they continue to "show tension in the health system in the regions of

Jujuy, Mendoza and Río Negro."

So far

382,490 who had the virus have recovered

and were discharged, which represents 76.5% of confirmed cases.

President Alberto Fernández announced weeks ago that the quarantine against the coronavirus will continue until September

20.
