Count to students, 'at home if we lose recovery challenge'

"If we lose this challenge you will have the right to send us home."

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, in Norcia on a private visit, articulates it to the students and promises: "We are aware of the critical issues and we have worked hard and will continue to do so to overcome them as they arise".

Conte visited the new temporary high school "De Gasperi-Battaglia" this morning: he was personally involved in the project after the headmaster Rosella Tonti, together with a delegation of pupils and teachers, had gone at the beginning of the year, before the lockdown. Palazzo Chigi to protest the slowness of the works.

On that occasion Conte was committed to completing the construction site in a few months;

the new school was inaugurated yesterday.

"I appreciated the words of President Mattarella yesterday when he said that the school must not be a place of controversy", said Conte.



"I confirm the intention to achieve a significant drop in the debt / GDP ratio not only in the first year of economic recovery that we hope will be in '21: we want this decline to continue in subsequent years in order to gradually return to pre-pandemic levels and in the long term term achieve a further reduction ".

"We will not do hundreds of micro-projects but a few large projects, in turn these will also be linked by a mission logic, what matters is not the bureaucratic logic of the single project but the overall objective that we want to achieve which then requires an intertwining of investments, reforms, policies ".
