From Figc an appeal to Cts: 'Unbearable pace'. Then the stadiums (ANSA)

 "Let us do fewer tampons".

A few days after the resumption of Serie A, the appeal to politics and the Scientific Technical Committee starts once again from the Football Federation.

The offices in via Allegri ask for the possibility of adopting a less stringent protocol than the current one, which provides for a test every four days for each player of the professional clubs.

A pace now defined by the president of the FIGC as "unsustainable".

For this reason, the hope of the head of Italian football is that the new protocol will be adopted immediately, which the CTS will have to examine in the coming hours in view of the start of the new season as early as next weekend: "We ask to obtain immediately, because it is no longer possible to postpone, to make the practice of tamponing more sustainable - the words of Gabriele Gravina after today's federal council - I hope that the CTS will be able to grant us at least this from the start. There will be a meeting today between the members of the CTS, this for us is the priority. "

Once a less rigid protocol has been obtained, then it will be possible to think about mediating with the government for a subsequent and gradual reopening of the stadiums.

After meeting Giuseppe Conte last week at Palazzo Chigi, Gravina repeated it again today: "With the premier we shared a path: priority to the school, if this path were to give a positive result and also leveraging the sense of responsibility that football has already shown, the reopening of the stadiums can be natural ".

"We do not want to insist, we have resubmitted our own design idea, hoping that it will be shared by the CTS and that the political side can authorize us to open up to the spectators", added the head of Italian football.

Fifa number one Gianni Infantino was also present at the summit of Palazzo Chigi, with whom Gravina also had the opportunity to discuss new possibilities for alternative championship formats to those in force.

Among these, even one of his dreams: the play-offs for the top league.

"Today there are too many commitments at the level of sports competitions and we are aware that we immediately enter into fibrillation when a match is postponed", explained the president of the FIGC.

"It is an idea that I have been working on for some time and I hope to be able to find sharing. The meeting with Infantino was very useful because for his experience and the role he plays it was a moment of great and in-depth reflection. I have spoken, I expressed my personal idea for the hypothesis of a renewal, so as to be able to place on the market a product that is now outdated and no longer appealing to the user.

It is necessary to compare and understand positive and negative aspects in a wide range and create a project appealing to everyone ".

For this Gravina hopes that "the meetings with all the presidents of the components will be intensified to start a process of increasingly intense and frequent discussion regarding the application of innovative ideas linked to the reform projects of a more innovative and up-to-date football system. with the times ".

In the meantime, from the council today, green light for the readmission of Foggia and Bisceglie to Serie C after the ruling of the CFA on Picerno and Bitonto, in addition to the ok to the 5 substitutions for Serie C and soon also for Serie B which will have to request the amendment at the next meeting on 17 September.
