(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 15 - The Italian Church expresses "condolences and closeness to the diocesan community of Como for the death of Don Roberto Malgesini, assassinated this morning in the early morning light. We pray that the Lord may welcome him into His Kingdom, which Don Roberto has helped to build on this land. We huddle close to Bishop Oscar Cantoni, making his words with which he described Don Roberto: 'A Saint of the next door for his simplicity, for the kindness with which he went against everyone, for the esteem which he received from so many people, even non-believers or non-Christians, for the brotherly and supportive help he wanted to give to everyone '".
