Shaare Zedek stated: "Following the discovery of a positive patient, an epidemiological investigation was opened, from which it became clear that two patients who were with him in the room were also found positive. According to data from the Ministry of Health from tonight (Wednesday), 3,157 medical professionals from around the country are currently in isolation, of whom 430 are doctors and 889 are nurses.
The head of the General Medicine Division at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Sigal Lieberent-Taub, wrote to the hospital directors today that "there is a congestion of COVID-19 patients in northern Israel and the Jerusalem area," so 140 patients will be transported by private ambulances from Rambam, Galilee Medical Center. , Bnei Zion, Haemek, Carmel, Hadassah, Shaare Zedek and Barzilai.
"In light of the increase in the number of verified and eruption hotspots in these areas, there is an expectation of continued concentration of congestion in the northern region and in Jerusalem. At this stage, the possibility of opening additional beds in the northern part of the country has been exhausted," she wrote.
