The head of the General Medicine Division at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Sigal Lieberent-Taub, wrote today (Wednesday) to the hospital directors that 140 patients will be transported by private ambulances from Rambam, Nahariya, Bnei Zion, Haemek, Carmel, Hadassah, Shaare Zedek and Barzilai.

"There is a COVID-19 inpatient load in northern Israel and in the Jerusalem area," wrote Dr. Lieberent-Taub. "In light of the increase in the number of verified and hotspots in these areas, the concentration of load in the northern and Jerusalem area is expected to continue.

The transfer of patients will begin from today and will continue until next Friday at 10:00, a few hours before the closure begins.
