A 4-year-old child died today in Castagneto Carducci, a hamlet of Donoratico (Livorno), after a school bus ran over him near his home.
The accident happened around 1 pm. According to what was reconstructed by the first responders, the child would have been riding his bicycle and would have appeared on the street among the cars parked near the sidewalk when he was hit by the school bus that was passing by at that moment.
The little one was immediately rescued by the 118 volunteers but died on the spot due to the trauma reported. Also activated the Pegasus helicopter. On the spot, for the findings and investigations of the case, municipal police officers and carabinieri intervened.
