Spotify returns to attack Apple for anti-competitive practices.
The Scandinavian giant of streaming music accuses the Californian company of abuse of dominant position for Apple One, the unique subscription to a package of services (music, TV, video games) presented last night in a streaming conference.
"Once again, Apple is using its dominant position and unfair practices to disadvantage its competitors and detract from consumers by favoring its services," says Spotify, which calls "competition authorities to take urgent action to limit anti-competitive behavior. Apple, which if left unchecked will cause irreparable damage to the developer community and threaten our collective freedoms to listen, learn, create and connect. "
Apple rejects the accusation, with a statement in which it highlights that "customers can discover and take advantage of alternatives to all of Apple's services. We are introducing Apple One - explains the Cupertino company - because it is a great value for customers and an easy way to access Apple's full range of subscription services. "
