The indicator that measures the number of positives on tests carried out was 47.2% at the national level, 35.8% in the City of Buenos Aires and 46.1% in the province of Buenos Aires.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, 1,707,947 diagnostic tests have been performed for this disease, which is equivalent to 37,639.2 samples per million inhabitants.

More than half of those hospitalized for coronavirus in intensive care are in the AMBA.

At the head of the daily report of the health portfolio, the Secretary of Access to Health,

Carla Vizzotti,

stated that "when we analyze by date of onset of symptoms, so far the day that the largest number of confirmed cases were reported was the 7th of September with 11,867, while regarding the deceased, August 24 was the day with the highest number of deaths, with 207 people ".

Vizzotti clarified about the breakdown of the Ministry's figures, alluding to the difference between what is reported daily, which may contain backward data from tests carried out in previous days and which differs from the statistics by daily swabs.

"The number of cases, such as the number of people admitted to intensive care units with confirmed Covid-19, such as bed occupancy and the percentage of positivity are decreasing in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and increasing proportionally in the rest of the country, "explained the official.

In this sense, the secretary reiterated that "with the increase in the circulation of people, the transmission" of a "virus that has no treatment or vaccine" increases and that the way the world has to minimize the spread is with "those two meters away, with a mask, washing hands, cleaning surfaces, trying to avoid meetings in closed spaces and following the recommendations in work environments ".

In addition, he insisted that the person with symptoms contact the health system and if it is a close contact of a confirmed case, maintain the 14 days of isolation "regardless of a swab" that can give negative.
