Covid-19 in France: 13,500 cases recorded in 24 hours, a new record

A new record of positive Covid-19 cases was reached in France this Saturday.

The latest report from Public Health France identifies 13,498 new contaminations in twenty-four hours.

Or 283 more than the day before.

The test positivity rate is also increasing and stands at 5.6% after stagnating at the end of the week at 5.4%.

The indicators in hospital services are also deteriorating.

In the past seven days, 3,826 patients have been hospitalized and 593 people have been admitted to intensive care.

58 new clusters were also detected.

Note, however, the drop in the daily number of deaths.

It stands at 26 this Saturday, against 47 and 50 the last two days.

Since the start of the epidemic, at least 31,274 Covid-related deaths have been recorded in France, including 20,714 in hospitals.
