The Residence of Clair-Mont keeps counting the disappearances.
The death toll due to Covid-19 among the residents of this Ehpad in Roanne (Loire) amounted to nine people on Saturday, against six the day before.
"These people were among the 40 positive cases detected so far among the residents of the Residence of Clair-Mont, after a general screening which followed the discovery of the first case on September 8," said Stéphane Cozon, deputy director general of the IGH company, of which the nursing home is a subsidiary.
The Résidence du Clair-Mont has a total of 65 beds.
Eight employees also infected
“At the present time, we now have 31 positive cases among residents, including four worrying cases, which are taken care of by mobile teams from the Roanne hospital center,” he added.
Eight employees of the establishment were also infected and were immediately placed in quarantine, according to the official, who announced the suspension "until further notice" of visits except for relatives of residents "at the end of their life".
And this within a strict framework of barrier gestures.
