A tourist from Poland climbed more than a hundred meters on the facade of the Paris Tour Montparnasse on Friday evening.

He had no safety rope or other aids with him.

At 210 meters, the Tour Montparnasse is the tallest building in downtown Paris.

Special police forces had stopped the man about halfway, as were reported by several French media outlets such as "La Depeche" or "France 24".

The climber was then arrested on the roof of the skyscraper.

Five years ago, the famous facade climber Alain Robert, known as the French "Spiderman", climbed the skyscraper.

He was also arrested.
