The Gard was placed by Météo France in vigilance red rains, floods and floods, Saturday at the beginning of the afternoon.
"Exceptional accumulations are underway in the north-west of Gard and a major flood in the Gardon d'Anduze", writes in its 2:00 pm Météo France bulletin.

Rains in the morning led to the flooding of departmental roads.
Météo France invites residents to stay at home and stay informed with the authorities.
The Cevennes episodes generally occur in autumn, when the Mediterranean Sea is the hottest, then promoting strong evaporation.
These hot, humid and unstable air masses move northwards causing heavy rains.
The neighboring departments of Lozère and Hérault have been placed on orange vigilance to rains, floods and storms.
